Sammut Family

Back in (probably) 1966-1970 I knew a family in Sliema, Malta. Their surname is: Sammut. I remember the family was very large but my best friend's first name is Anna. I remember that her job when we were rather young was to clean the steps in various apartment buildings...and I used to help her when she would let me! Used to stay at her grandparents house...Nana and Nanu they used to have a rabbit farm and choose which one that would be for dinner and chickens too.

The last time I visited Malta and the Sammut family was the summer of 1973 or 1974. I later found out that Anna had met a gentleman from England and were married...that is about the time I lost contact with her.

I realize that it has been a very long time since I tried to contact her but I hope that she is still breathing and maybe wants to contact me back. Can the Sammut family make the connections? I remember so many things about where you used to live, the evening promenade, the beautiful/colorful boats in the bay, same with the buses. I am tearing now as I reminiscence!

I would love to be reunited...hoping for the best! I still love you all deeply! Always,

1. Use a fast highly sensitive film or push develop your usual film.
2. If you have a digital camera: set your ISO setting to a higher than normal value.
3. Use a flash.
4. Use other additional light sources like spots, or a reflector.
5. Use a fast lens.
6. Use a tripod.

I'm looking for the Farrugia family of Cospicua c 1949. Leo and Maria, and their two children Austin and Dennis.

My parents rented an apartment from them for about two year. My dad was a Chief Petty Officer RN Submarines, and I was about three years old when we lived there.

My wife and I would like to meet up with Austin and Dennis, we understand Leo and Maria are deceased.

We would like to visit Malta in the spring of 2010.

Choose Malta Forum for a web board which is restricted to just MNR only,

you can talk there on all subjects vaguely related to Malta. It is an

unmoderated board.

if you prefer you can read alt.culture.malta and some previous postings

archived there.

Again you can talk about other subjects not related to Malta by going to

the Maltese hierarchy section. There are newsgroups on various other subjects

including science fiction - x-files, trek etc..

More will be added later (meanwhile to talk on other subjects you can use

malta.test or even alt.culture.malta with an [off-topic] subject..)

If you want to see other newsgroups in this hierarchy then post your requests

in malta.config which is a newsgroup for this purpose.

The straw poll got only around 5 votes which were all in favour of

the newsgroup soc.culture.malta which would be reproposed.

I suspect few readers understand the practical advantages of a soc.* group.

Basically I think it is not worth it to go ahead at this point, there

not enough support at all.

Perhaps soc.culture.mediterranean would get more support from our

foreign brothers in the Med. Some of them even post here.

Any comments?
