Due to overwhelming demand, Malta's favourite snack Twistees is now on sale in the UK. Twistees are called Tastees in the UK. Tastees are gaining lots of interest in the UK, because they are so different from any other snack in that market. All the British tourists returning home after their great holiday in Malta, will now be able to buy Tastees in their local store or pub.

22/5/2008 - singer Morena representing Malta was eliminated in the PRESELECTION SEMIFINAL with her song 'Vodka'....

A professor Derek Gatherer has made a scientific study of Eurovision Voting patterns.."Comparison of Eurovision Song Contest Simulation with Actual Results Reveals Shifting Patterns of Collusive Voting Alliances".. revealing some very unfair block voting as many people complain every time with Eurovision.

26/1/2008 - singer Morena will be representing Malta with her song 'Vodka', she has just won the Malta Song for Europe festival..

she will represent Malta in the Eurovision 2008 semifinals..

Claudia Faniello ended up both 2nd and 3rd with her songs Caravaggio and Sunrise respectively.

Votes obtained were: 16979 - Vodka, 12714 - Caravaggio and 4518 - Sunrise.

Natalie Gauci, a Maltese singer from Australia, was the special guest for the festival. She had won Australian Idol.

Upgrade Problem

Hello all,
I have been upgrading the CMS software for Malta Network Resources, unfortunately there was a bit of a hitch and I had to restore user account data from a past backup - so if you recently registered for an account you might have to re-register. Sorry about the inconvenience.

A Carnival 2008 page is also missing and will be reuploaded asap..

ArchBishop Cremona Inaugurated as Malta's new Bishop

UPDATE: Archbishop Paul Cremona has been inaugurated as the new Archbishop of Malta during a ceremony in St John's CoCathedral in Valletta.

Fr Paul Cremona has been appointed the new Bishop of Malta by the Pope.

Currently Fr Cremona was the Promoter for the Dominican Family and Lay Dominicans and parish priest of Nazzarenu church, Sliema.

Congratulations to our new Bishop!

Let us all follow our new Shepherd.

Second Approved Miracle announced for Dun Ġorġ Preca

UPDATED NEWS: The Vatican has announced the attribution of the second miracle due to the intercession of Blessed Ġorġ Preca (Dun Ġorġ Preca).

A final decision on Dun Gorg's sainthood will be taken by Pope Benedict XVI in the coming days. Dun Ġorġ was declared Blessed during Pope John Paul II's visit to Malta on Wednesday 9th May 2001. Dun Gorg will be the first Maltese to be officially declared a saint.
